Antique 800 Silver Overlay Etched Glass Decanter After Wolf & Knell, Hanau
An antique 800 silver overlay etched glass decanter, after Wolf & Knell, Hanau. Estimated circa mid-19th century, this blown glass decanter features a round design with a wide base, and an etched windmill pattern. The metal sleeve features a chased scrolling design with village, windmill and garlands, and is topped with a figural stopper. The patterned metal sleeve is similar to work attributed to Wolf & Knell. The decanter is unmarked, but is thought to be 800 silver.
