Antique 800 Silver Overlay Etched Glass Pitcher After Wolf & Knell, Hanau
An antique 800 silver overlay etched glass pitcher, after Wolf & Knell, Hanau. Estimated circa mid-19th century, this tapered glass pitcher features a wide handle with an etched floral pattern. The metal sleeve features a chased scrolling design with musical players and other domestic scenes. The patterned metal sleeve appears identical to other work attributed to Wolf & Knell. The base is marked sterling with a duty style mark, but is thought to be 800 silver. Unmarked.
