Gouache Painting on Papyrus After the Tomb of Nakht

A gouache painting on papyrus after the ca. 1400–1390 B.C. wall painting at the Tomb of Nakht, who was Scribe of the Granaries under during the reign of Tuthmosis IV. This elaborate scene depicts Nakht twice, balancing on shallow boats as figures catch birds among the reeds in background, underneath bands of hieroglyphics and a geometric head. This work is signed in the lower left, and presented unmounted and unframed within a plastic sleeve.
