A copy oil painting on canvas after a work by John Frederick Herring Jr (1815 – 1907) of a horse with a dog. This 19th century style painting depicts a brown, bridled horse next to a dog with a stick in its mouth. The two animals are seen near a set of steps that lead to an open door. This painting is unsigned and presented without glass in a gold tone wood and gesso frame. It is ready to hang with a hanging wire to the verso.
