An oil painting on unstretched canvas of a hand motion study by contemporary artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela / New York; b. 1954). Within a gray and brown background, the study depicts six suspended hands. The hands are rendered in varied positions and movements including extended fingers, bent fingers, fist, frontal and backhand. This work is unsigned by the artist and presented without frame, awaiting presentation of choice.

Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, Morin received his B.F.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others.
