Charles Griffin Farr Egg Tempera Titled "Kindergarten"

A Mid-century egg tempera painting on paper laid on masonite board titled Kindergarten by American Realist artist Charles Griffin Farr (1908-1997). Signed to the lower left, there is a descriptive artist’s label attached to the verso.

Farr was a California artist hose stark realism was heavily influenced by the WPA era, and the example offered here is reminiscent of the work of Grant Wood (American, 1881-1942).
