- buckling, toning, foxing, and slight creases to both artworks and mats; scuffs, accretions, and small spots of flaked loss scattered to paint and paper of each painting, but more heavily to the male portrait; flecks of loose debris present between artworks, mats, and the covering of each frame; abrasions, scratches, scuffs, and accretions to both frames.
