- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, and abrasions consistent with age and use; scattered finish wear/losses and stains (oak example retains remnants of an old ebonized finish with crazing/alligatoring); ladderback side chair has some breaks to seat caning; needlepoint footstool cover is probably later and with some fading and stains; underside of footstool is missing some glue blocks (and possibly castors).
