Born in the suburbs of Chicago, contemporary artist David Mueller grew up as the son of a cartoonist. He graduated from the American Academy of Art, Chicago in 1987, and soon after moved to the greater Cincinnati area where he continues to live and work today. Mueller paints a wide variety of compositions with figural pieces being his most current interest. He strives to create timeless art with sensitivity to mood. Mueller’s work is an Ohio staple, included in state, corporate and private collections including the Ohio State Capital and the collection of Procter & Gamble. These accomplishments earned him awards and acceptances to multiple organizations such as The International Museum of Contemporary Masters of Fine Art and The Cincinnati Art Club. Mueller served as the youngest member of the Board of Trustees of The Cincinnati Art Club, and has spent multiple years teaching. His art has been exhibited across the United States and internationally in venues such as the Jeffrey Morseburg Gallery, Los Angeles; Gladwell Patterson Gallery, London; and a solos show at Arcadia Gallery, NYC.
