Debra Joyce Dawson is an American artist best known for her impressionist paintings and plein air landscapes. Born and raised in Maryland, she moved to Ohio in 1989, where she studied art at Denison University and the Columbus College of Art and Design. A founding member of the Ohio Plein Air Society, Dawson remains based in the state to this day, although she has traveled widely across America and Europe exhibiting her art and seeking plein air vistas to paint.
