1790 Spanish Colonial (Mexico) 8 Reales Silver Coin. Coin features a right facing bust of Carlous III on the obverse and a crowned shield with banners and Assayer’s initials on the reverse. The coin uses the Carolus III portrait instead of Carolus IIII because when Carolus III died in 1789 the correct portrait didn’t make it to Mexico until 1791. Metal Content: 90.3% silver. Diameter: 39.4 mm. Weight: 26.9 grams. Coin is circulated.
