- low pile wear, loss, and possible insect damage with exposed knot collars, visible foundations, and threadbare areas across much of rug surface area; abrash, dye bleed, uneven fade, and light discoloration to pile; buckling and creases to rug from folded storage; snagged and pulled weft yarns visible throughout pile; broken yarns, snags, and loss to selvedge binding, more heavily along one side; selvedges appear to have been partially re-bound, with edges curling under; fraying to weave with losses from both ends; possible cuts or broken warps at one corner; discoloration, dye bleed, and variation in length of fringe; distortion to form with variation in width and depth.
