Joseph Baris is known for his impressionist style landscapes and seascapes often inspired by his Italian roots and the work of Claude Monet. He immigrated with his family to Cincinnati in 1956, where he studied under Roland Huston and Chuck Marshall. His work is held in private and corporate collections and he has shown in many galleries. He is a member of the Cincinnati Art Club and the American Impressionist Society.
