- dark stain applied to edges and verso of painting; cracking and delamination of paint to lower section of painting; cracking and loss to paint around edges; craquelure to paint throughout; abrasions to paint throughout, particularly to gold field in upper section of painting; heavy accretions throughout with intense discoloration to the verso.
