Portrait Oil Painting, Possibly Marie-Louise de Tassis, 18th Century

Item Details

Artist unknown (Flemish School style)
Untitled (half-length portrait of a lady), 18th century
Oil painting on canvas
Unsigned

An half-length portrait oil painting of a lady in the Flemish School style. The sitter possibly features Marie-Louise de Tassis (1611 – 1638). The frame plaque attributes the work to Frederico Zuccaro (Italy, 1543 – 1609). However, the style bears more resemblance to a follower of Sir Anthony van Dyck (Flemish, 1599 – 1641). Further, van Dyck also painted Marie-Louise de Tassis in a 1630 oil painting held in the Princely Collections, Liechtenstein Museum, Austria.
