Painter and illustrator, Alberta Kinsey studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and created semi-primitive paintings of courtyards and historic buildings. Kinsey was an art instructor at the University of Ohio and taught at Lebanon University, Ohio, and the Delgado Museum of Art (New Orleans Museum of Art). She belonged to the Cincinnati Art Association, Ohio; the Cincinnati Women’s Art Club; the New Orleans Arts and Crafts Club; and the New Orleans Art Association. Kinsey is represented in the collections at the Cincinnati Art Museum, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Louisiana State Museum.
