- slight loss of canvas tension with stretcher marks at edges and dimples to lower corners of canvas; craquelure throughout paint; discoloration to varnish layer; evidence of overpainting restoration throughout; chipped frame surface exposing gesso at corners and sight edges; frame was originally fillet in a larger frame and has unfinished sides with nail holes through all rails; darkened and worn wood to stretcher verso with paper remnants present; discoloration to canvas verso.
